Android Device Manager Helps Find your Phone

--By On September 2, 2013

Losing your Android smartphone accidently? This may be a disaster for someone especially when something important is saved on the phone and you don’t want others to get them. Well, don’t get nervous. You don’t need to worry about the data leak as Android Device Manger is now officially public to all Android users.

The new version of Android Device Manger adds a function similar to “Find My iPhone” in iOS devices, which allows its users to exactly locate where the lost phone is. You can make it ring out loudly at maximum volume for 5 minutes, even if it is set to be silent, thus helping you to find back the phone. Also, to keep your personal data safe, you can remotely wipe all the data on the device.

Now, Android Device Manger only supports for Android 2.2 and above. It is promoted to Andoid users via OTA for the moment. Wait for a few days or couple of weeks to reach your phone.
