Though Cortana is useful for most Windows 10 users who are getting tired of typing what they want into the search box, some Windows 10 users doesn't like Cortana that much. What if you want to hide or disable it so that you will get a neat interface? The passage below will be divided into 2 parts.

Part 1: Hide Cortana in Windows 10
Step 1. Right-click on any blank space in the taskbar.
Step 2. Then, in the popup, choose "Cortana".
Step 3. Then choose "Show Cortana icon" or "Hidden".
After that, the search box on the taskbar will be gone and replaced by the Cortana icon if you choose "Show Cortana icon". If you choose "Hidden", Cortana will still runs in the background. To kill Cortana permanently, you just need to follow the next part.
Part 2: Disable Cortana in Windows 10
Step 1. Click Cortana icon on the taskbar.
Step 2. Choose "Notebook" in the popup option.
Step 3. Type in "Cortana & Search Settings" to get the interface below.
Step 4. Turn off the first toggle in the interface, named "Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts and more."
That's all you need to do to turn off Cortana on your Windows 10 computer. If you want Cortana back in use, you just need to follow the same steps we mentioned in part 2 and turn on the toggle.
