How To Maximise Your Android Device For Entertainment

--By Likaiyong On March 1, 2019

Android based devices are the most popular on the smartphone market by far, with many people liking the fact they are great for entertainment. Whether it's listening to the freshest music from Spotify, watching the latest Netflix films, or playing games such as bingo at mFortune, these devices are built to entertain. However, while they all offer a great experience out of the box, there are ways a user can maximise their device even further.

Deal With Bloatware

Bloatware has become somewhat of a common problem where Android devices are concerned, so it's important a user disables or uninstalls it as soon as possible. It's a simple process which can be done via the Play Store or the inbuilt app manager, and this will go a long way in improving a device for entertainment. This is largely because this process will not only free up memory, it will also free up crucial RAM too, helping to maximise performance.

Do Not Disturb

There's nothing worse than watching a movie on the go or enjoying some mobile bingo action, only for things to be rudely interrupted by a phone call or text message. Well, the great news is that these annoyances are now preventable thanks to the infamous Do Not Disturb mode. There are options which allow the user to select how their handset will respond in situations where calls, messages and other notifications are concerned. So, there is no need to be interrupted by nuisance phone calls or marketing text messages ever again.

Power Saving

Obviously, when Android devices are being used for entertainment purposes the battery is likely to drain a lot quicker than usual. So, why not ensure that the rest of the time power is being saved, which will ensure there's plenty of power left for when it's most needed. That's precisely what the power saving function on Android devices aims to do, improving battery life by reducing the amount of background processes that are running and by also slowing down the CPU. The setting can be adjusted to fit a user's needs and there's even an ultra-power saving mode too.

Screen Casting

Over the last few years screen casting has become very popular thanks to the emergence of smart televisions and streaming. It's an important entertainment solution for many as it allows the user to cast what's on their screen to their television, which is perfect for anyone who may be watching a movie on their Android based device for example. The fact that casting is a very simple process, with the option to do so often being displayed as a notification instantly, makes it even better.

Split-screen

In daily life there are always times when a person needs to multi task, and with smartphones being integral to a user, it's great that Android based devices can do the same through split-screening. Users can load up a couple of apps on the same screen, which may come in especially handy if a person is enjoying some entertainment, but they just need to check on an email that has just arrived for example. So, there's now no longer a need to close one app to then open another, or to keep having to draw up the task manager.
