Moto Z2 Play Review

Display
The Moto Z2 Play is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, resulting in a pixel density of 401 ppi. As expected from an AMOLED screen, you are capable of enjoying vibrant colors and deep blacks, as well as great viewing angles.

However, the display doesn’t enough for you to read under direct sunlight even with the brightness set to maximum.

U-Touch
Different from the traditional Android t keys, the Moto Z2 PLAY's Home button integrates the U-Touch. It allows for different operations through touching, long pressing, and sliding left and right, and supports customization. Once you get used to it, you'll find the Home button very handy. Of course, if you're in the first place, you may need to adjust yourself to a period of time.

Hardware
It has also been rumored that the Z2 Play will be equipped with the 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor. At the same time, the new machine also have 3/4 GB RAM and 32/64 GB storage combination. If you are worried about storage, the good news is that expandable storage via microSD card is available for up to an additional 256 GB.

Software
On the software side of things, the Moto Z2 Play is running the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery.

You still get all of Motorola’s software additions like the double chop to turn on the flashlight, wrist twist to launch the camera, and the ever-so-useful battery-friendly notifications that fade in and out with Moto Display.

Camera
From the previous photos of the Moto Z2, the machine will be equipped with 12MP dual lens rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera with dual-tone LED flash. Earlier sources said the Moto Z2 would still adopt a modular design, using the same magnetic and 16-pin interfaces as the previous generation, and support many of the Moto Z modules.

Mods
Besides, the most attractive feature of the mobile phone is the changeable Moto Mods. The Moto Z2 Play supports the Hasselblad Mod, Thin Electrical Mod, Insta-Share Projector Mod, JBL Speaker Mod and Vehicle-mounted Mod. Moreover, the intelligent experience provided by this machine can turn on the camera after two quick flips of the wrist, while the AI function is more capable of learning.

Conclusion
The Moto Z2 Play is great smartphone. However, you may need to spend your money on more than just the phone itself to truly make it worth your while.
