Meizu has released a dozen of flagships this year. However, none of them is competitive than PRO6 Plus. This can be due to the processor – PRO6 Plus sports Samsung Exynos 8890, of which performance is better than Helio, processor in Meizu smartphone.
In the high-end Android market, Exynos 8890 and Kirin 960 are good choice for the minority as most Android devices works on Snapdragon. In the first half year, these flagships choose Snapdragon as its processor while in the second half year, some flagships have upgraded their processor to Snapdragon 821, for example, OnePlus 3T.
So, how is the performance of Android that works on SoC? We will show you below by raising examples – Meizu PRO6 Plus, OnePlus 3T and Huawei Mate 9.
Basic Configuration
Configurations of Meizu PRO6, OnePlus 3T and Huawei Mate 9 are top-end. However, according to detailed analysis, they are different in terms of software and hardware.

From the table above, we can find that resolution of Meizu PRO6 is the highest. OnePlus 3T has the biggest RAM. And Huawei Mate 9 comes with the latest Android system. All these elements will affect their performance.
Daily Use
Before testing their performances, let us talk about daily use of these there Android phones. The system of them runs smoothly.
When it comes to fingerprint recognition, OnePlus 3T delivers the best performance while Meizu PRO6 is the lowest one. However, OnePlus 3T is only 0.3 seconds faster than Meizu PRO6 Plus. And the camera of all of them can be activated very fast.
When playing Android games on these three phones, OnePlus runs faster than Meizu PRO6 Plus, only second to Huawei Mate 9. However, Huawei Mate 9 runs only 3 seconds faster than Meizu PRO6 Plus.
Performance
GPU of Snapdragon is Adreno 530@650MHz; GPU of Exyno 8890 is Mali-T880 mp12; GPU of Kirin 960 is Mali-G71 MP8.
In the test, as shown above, OnePlus 3T has the best performance. Huawei Mate 9 is second to OnePlus 3T but better than PRO6 Plus. We can say that CPU of Kirin 960 with eight cores and the latest Cortex-A73 has the best performance, which is evidently better than Snapdragon 821. And GPU of Kirin processor, Mali-G71 MP8, has improved than its pervious version.
Snapdragon 821, which is selected by most manufacturers, has the outstanding comprehensive abilities and GPU performance.However, Exynos 8890, processor of PRO6 Plus is disappointing.
